Thinking that Wink, our 7 month old Border Collie, was pouting in the other room as he often does when he doesn’t get his way, we thought nothing of him being gone for a few minutes. But after too much quiet time we went to check on him. We found him rolling in a soft pile of toilet paper with the carcass of his fresh kill tightly wedged between his adolescent teeth. He looked up at us as if to say it wasn’t him and that he was simply cleaning up after the cats, but we knew better. On his way out, he glanced from the corner of his eyes at the torn pieces still spread out on the tile floor. You could almost hear him thinking that maybe this wasn’t such a good idea.
We love our Border Collie Wink, even when he is being destructive.
